Terms of Service
Last updated: August 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of ClassicSign — the electronic-signature service at
classicsign.ai and its affiliated origins — operated by Classic Rent Solutions, East
Cleveland, Ohio ("ClassicSign", "we", "us"). By opening a signing link, sending a document,
or using the verification page, you agree to these terms.
1. What ClassicSign does
ClassicSign presents documents for electronic signature, routes them between parties in
order, captures legally required signing evidence, embeds signatures into the executed PDF,
fingerprints it (SHA-256), applies a digital seal with a trusted timestamp, delivers executed
copies to the parties, and provides a public page to verify a document's integrity.
2. Electronic signatures and consent
- Before signing, you are asked to consent to do business electronically. Checking that
box and signing constitutes your agreement that your electronic signature has the same
legal effect as a handwritten one under the U.S. E-SIGN Act and UETA.
- You may decline to sign; the sender is notified and the envelope closes. If you prefer
to sign on paper, arrange that with the sender before signing electronically.
- An executed copy is delivered to you and remains available through your download link.
3. Your responsibilities as a signer
- Your signing link is private. Do not forward it — anyone holding it can sign in your name.
- You represent that you are the person the envelope addresses, that the legal name you
type is yours, and that you have authority to sign for any entity you sign on behalf of.
- Review the document before signing. ClassicSign executes agreements; it does not review,
draft, or advise on them.
4. Senders
- Senders are responsible for the lawfulness and content of the documents they send and
for addressing envelopes to the correct people.
- Sending a person's name, email, or phone number to ClassicSign confirms you have the
right to use those details for this purpose.
5. What ClassicSign is not
ClassicSign is not a law firm and provides no legal advice. Some documents
cannot be signed electronically or need more than an e-signature: wills and certain family-law
documents are excluded from e-signature laws; notarized documents require an e-notary; and
some notices (for example certain eviction or termination notices) require statutory paper
service. Whether a particular document may be signed electronically is the parties'
responsibility.
6. Acceptable use
- No impersonating another person, signing without authority, or submitting forged content.
- No attempting to access documents you are not a party to, probing tokens or document
identifiers, scraping, rate-limit evasion, or interfering with the service.
- No unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive documents or use.
We may void envelopes, block access, or suspend service to protect the platform and its
users.
7. Records, retention, and verification
- Executed documents, evidence, and audit trails are retained as legal records — see the
Privacy Policy.
- Unsigned envelopes expire after their signing window (typically 30 days).
- The verification page reports whether a document's stored fingerprint matches the file
on record at the moment of checking. It is provided as-is, as a convenience.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and "as
available", without warranties of any kind. We may improve or change the service; if we ever
discontinue it, executed records will remain retrievable for the retention period.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassicSign and its operator are not liable for
indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the contents, validity, or
performance of the agreements signed through the service. Our total liability for any claim
relating to the service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid
us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict
of law rules. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts of Ohio.

Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
